Use of the service
SubChinese provides tools for turning Chinese speech in user-provided video or audio into timed Chinese text, pinyin, optional translation, and subtitle files. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload and process the content you use.
Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including processing jobs, downloads, and subscription changes.
Uploads and content rights
You retain your rights in your uploaded files and generated subtitle text. By uploading a file, you give SubChinese permission to process that file only for delivering the requested subtitle workflow and related account history.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service for unlawful content, abusive activity, security testing without permission, spam, attempts to bypass plan limits, or processing material that infringes another party rights.
Accuracy and review
ASR, pinyin, and translation outputs are generated automatically and may contain errors. You should review subtitle results before relying on them for teaching, publication, commercial use, or accessibility.
Plans and billing
Paid subscriptions are billed through Paddle. Plan limits are measured by processing minutes and may change by plan. If you exceed your included minutes, processing may pause until the allowance resets or the account is upgraded.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund handling is described in the Refund Policy. Cancellation normally stops future renewal rather than automatically refunding an active billing period.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available, but processing depends on cloud infrastructure, ASR providers, translation providers, and file characteristics. We may temporarily limit or suspend access for maintenance, abuse prevention, or security.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product develops. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the updated terms.
